About Cranleys · Our HQ, Basingstoke

A small, senior team. Long client relationships. Real conversations.

Cranleys is a proactive UK chartered accounting firm built around specialist tax, honest advice and a genuinely nice team to work with. Meet the people behind the work — and hear what our clients have to say.

Our story

Built to be the accountant we always wanted to work with

Cranleys exists because most firms are still built around filing deadlines, not clients. We wanted a firm that leads with strategy, treats every client as a long-term partner, and answers the phone.

We work with property investors and landlords, high‑net‑worth individuals, doctors, dentists, vets, contractors, consultants, coaches and owner‑managed businesses. Different sectors — one common thread: people who take their money seriously and want an advisor who does the same.

Everything we do is senior‑led. Compliance is done quietly and correctly underneath. On top of that sits the work that actually moves the needle: structuring, tax planning, forecasting and the sort of grown‑up conversations that change how a business runs.

The Cranleys team

Meet the people behind your accounts

A deliberately small, senior team — so you always know who you're speaking to, and they always know your file.

Colin Davison

Founder & Managing Partner

Colin founded Cranleys to be the proactive, plain-English firm he'd always wanted to work with — one that treats clients as partners, not file references. With decades of experience across property, high‑net‑worth tax and owner‑managed businesses, he leads the firm's technical work and long‑term client relationships.

Agnieszka Walendziak

Partner Designate

Bright, cheerful and endlessly patient, Agnieszka is a Polish accounting graduate who's made Reading her home — and, very soon, is getting married (lucky guy). She brings a rigorous accounting brain, a warm client manner and the energy that keeps clients coming back. She's on the partner track and already a core part of how Cranleys feels to work with.

What we stand for

Four things we won't compromise on

Proactive, not reactive

We tell you what's coming — tax changes, cash-flow pinch points, growth opportunities — before they arrive.

Partner, not filer

Cranleys clients get real conversations with senior advisors, not a helpdesk ticket.

Chartered standards

Rigorous compliance underneath everything — done quietly and correctly, so you can forget it.

Long relationships

Most of our clients have been with us for years. We measure success in decades, not deadlines.

Client case studies

Real clients. Real results.

Seven short stories from across the sectors we serve — each one a working relationship, not a one‑off transaction.
